All India Radio, the Indian government broadcaster has ordered 124 Audioarts D-75 digital audio consoles for upgrading their analog facilities to digital. 85 of the consoles are custom configured for master control switching, allowing for smooth on-air transitions from one on-air (transmission) studio to another.
These were delivered in March of 09. Another 39 D-75 consoles are specifically configured for dubbing room applications. These were delivered in July 09. These orders follow an order last year for 18 D-75s configured for on-air (transmission) studios. All three orders were placed through local Indian systems integrator Arraycom India, LTD and Wheatstone's local Indian distributor, Horizon Broadcast Electronics.
