The I/O BLADEs are access points on the WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network, converting each hardware physical input -- audio or logic -- to a data stream on the network, and converting data streams to hardware digital outputs.

The ip88m is an Analog Input/Output blade with microphone-level inputs. It has eight built-in microphone preamplifiers complete with pad, phase switch, and phantom power. It provides eight analog line-level outputs as well. It also provides 12 channels of universal logic (GPIO). All signals are routable anywhere on the network.
